AQUA
HORNET™
The AQUA HORNET™ delivers precision Pure Water or Abrasive Waterjet cutting of all types of materials up to 12” (300mm) thick. Systems
include the machine frame, intensifier, cutting head, master carriage tool plate, a cutting table with material support slats
and a remote CNC control console. Options include a wide selection of intensifier pumps, cutting heads, abrasive
delivery systems and abrasive reclamation systems.
MACHINE SIZES
AQUA HORNET™ is available in 4 ft, 5 ft and 6 ft widths (1.2m, 1.5m & 1.8m)
and in cutting lengths of 4 ft, 8 ft, 10 ft & 12 ft (1.2m, 2.5m, 3.0m & 3.6m)
Z AXIS TRAVEL
Our Z axis lifter offers a full 13.7” (350mm) stroke to enable cutting the materials up to 12” (300mm).
KMT™ PUMPS, NOZZLES AND ABRASIVE DELIVERY SYSTEMS
Retro Systems exclusively uses KMT Waterjet equipment. KMT intensifier pumps are available in 30, 50, 60, 75,
100, 150 and 200 HP for generating pressures up to 90,000 PSI.
KMT Waterjet AUTOLINE™ nozzle design is the ultimate in water jet cutting efficiency.
AUTOLINE™ nozzles
can cut steel, marble, stone, tile, glass, composites, and food. AUTOLINE™ nozzles deliver a sharper, more
coherent cutting stream for optimum precision, faster cutting and reduced consumption of abrasives.
KMT ADS HOPPERS precisely monitor the abrasive during the entire cutting process. Abrasive is stored in the
abrasive storage vessel and pneumatically transferred to the abrasive metering assembly. The design protects
your valuable material from damage and saves time and money.
HEAVY DUTY FRAME DESIGN
The heavy duty tubular steel frame is welded and stress relieved prior to precision machining to ensure precise
alignment of linear ways. All linear ways and motors are covered with bellows.
CUTTING TABLE
The cutting table is fabricated from heavy steel plate and offers remotely
controlled water level.POWERFUL AC SERVO DRIVE SYSTEM
Motion is provided by a 1,100 watt (1.6 HP) AC servo drive system using linear
encoders and helical gear rack.
